Earlier this year, a vehicle usage study was initiated by the Sedona City Manager's office due to concerns regarding the number of City vehicles and fiscal constraints affecting the City.

Decreasing the numbers of vehicles has several benefits, which includes:
·Increased parking availability to the public at City Hall.
·Reduced vehicle costs associated with maintenance (on older vehicles), insurance (number of vehicles covered) and eliminated replacement costs for vehicles not replaced.For example, the basic maintenance savings this year will be approximately $25,000.
·Prompted shared usage of vehicles within and amongst various departments.
·Increased fuel efficiency.
·Future implementation of standardized purchasing policy for new vehicle replacement.
