Made in Clarkdale Dream Comes True at e-GO Gallery
CLARKDALE, AZ (June 27, 2009) - What better premiere for the Made in Clarkdale artists than a July 4th opening of their own gallery space in the heart of the lovely town of Clarkdale?
Join the many talented artist residents who for 22 years have exhibited for only 2 weeks in December in the Clarkdale Memorial Clubhouse. Finally, the revolving group, that has over the years featured local legends as well as emerging artists, will have a commercial space that will be open year round. Make no mistake about it, Clarkdale is home to some of the Verde Valley's finest painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, jewelers and more.
The new space is in the heart of the historic town at 921 Main Street and is named e-GO GALLERY. Ellie Bauer, one of the champions of Made in Clarkdale and instrumental in the creation of the space says, " Clarkdale welcomes this new addition and we look forward to the evolution of the gallery into a hub of local artistic expression. possibly hosting lectures, performances as well as regular gallery shows." Robyn Prud'homme-Bauer, Treasurer of the Clarkdale Chamber of Commerce echoes the sentiments and says, "The Clarkdale Chamber of Commerce is thrilled with the opening of the MIC e-Go Gallery in historic downtown Clarkdale. This gallery gives Clarkdale an ongoing presence in the arts community in the Verde Valley. It is the natural expansion of the very successful Made in Clarkdale art show."
The gallery is made possible by the generosity of Clarkdale Metals, Alcora Marble, LLC and the Clarkdale Chamber of Commerce. The 2-day opening will be a potpourri of MIC artists' works reflecting the wide range of interests, styles, art forms and media that has distinguished the MIC Annuals for 22 years. There will be a gallery manager as well as local artists on hand to answer questions and assist in sales. Stop by on July 4th and 5th from 11AM to 2:00 PM. The gallery will establish regular hours beginning in August. For more information, contact Ellie Bauer at 634- 450 or elliebauer@gmail.com.
