Nepali Trekkking Guide gives talk at Sedona Library on Sept 5, 2009
Nepali Trekking Guide and Philanthropist Visits Sedona to give a presentation at the Sedona Library and to Prepare Sedona Charter Middle Schoolers for a Himalayan Adventure

A group of Sedona Charter School students are preparing to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. In February 2010 they will travel to Nepal where they will visit rural schools built and funded by a nonprofit organization called S.E.E.D.S. of Nepal. S.E.E.D.S. is an anacronym for Social, Educational, Environmental Development Service of Nepal.

Founder and executive director of S.E.E.D.S. and Nepali native, K.P. Kafle will be visiting Sedona in September to meet with students and share the love of his country with our community.

K.P. is a hugely popular trekking guide in Nepal. In 1998, he inspired a few of his trekking clients to "help me give back to my country" and within 6 months S.E.E.D.S. was founded.  K.P.'s tireless energy enables him to personally oversee every SE.E.D.S. project. Equally at home on a dirt floor in a remote village or seated at a dinner in a Hollywood salon, K.P. inspires all who meet him. He is the father of three sons and lives just outside Katmandu. K.P. personally leads groups on his unique village treks or to the highest points of the Himalayas.

K.P. is also a trekking guide for REI and leads the Royal  Nepal Trek. K.P will be speaking at the Sedona Library on Saturday September 5th at 2pm. He will be sharing stories and pictures about his home in the Himalayas. He will also be talking about S.E.E.D.S and the impact this organaization has had in Nepal. This is an event not to be missed!
