The City of Sedona is pleased to present our first Senior Resource Fair in response to the many calls from seniors for services during the current economic downturn. This event will provide information to enable seniors to remain in their homes as they continue to enjoy their current life style. A wide range of service providers will be on hand to discuss topics such as transportation, local food services, utility assistance programs, telephone services credit card debt, and home foreclosures and much more.
The Resource Fair will take place on Monday, October 12, 2009 at Yavapai College Sedona Center located at 4215 Arts Village Drive just off SR 89A (across the street from Sedona Red Rock High School). The Fair begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. This fair is structured like an open house, so attendees may drop-in anytime between those hours.
Over 50 services representing the City, County, State and Federal agencies will present their programs. Information and brochures will be available and seniors may also arrange a private meeting to further discuss their needs.
